While it may seem cumbersome at first, these 5 simple steps for how to clean boxing gloves will help increase their lifespan and get you the most out of your investment. Just remember to be consistent and you’ll thank us later!

1. Wipe the inside and outside of your gloves with a paper towel after every use.

2. After they are wiped down, fold the wrist straps over on top of themselves.

3. Do NOT place the gloves in your gym bag. Leave them out in the open to ensure proper air flow can get to them so they completely dry out before your next use.

4. Once per week, sanitize your gloves. Make a mixture of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water and place in a spray bottle.

5. Spray the sanitizer on the outside and inside of the gloves and wipe down with a paper towel. Fold the wrist straps over and place in direct sunlight in order to dry and kill any residual bacterial growth.

Bonus tip:
Wearing hand wraps will also help to prevent moisture accumulation in your gloves since they absorb some of the sweat from your hands.
